Spend 3 nights in the cloud forest of Arenal Volcano, where you will soak in thermal waters, visit the Hanging Bridges, and experience an active volcano in lush tropical surroundings at beautiful Lost Iguana Resort.

3 night's in the Honeymoon Deluxe Room at Lost Iguana Resort in Arenal Volcano National Park with Full Breakfast included and welcome flowers. A day pass to the Hanging Bridges, and entry to EcoThermal Hot Springs.

Hotel California in Manuel Antonio, with its amazing views overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is a perfect home base to enjoy this magnificent area.

You will want to spend a day at Manuel Antonio National Park, where you will see monkeys, sloths, rainforest flora and other rainforest treasures. Wear your bathing suit under your clothes, as the refreshing waters of the Pacific parallel the trail.

Next, head to the beach where you can enjoy more yoga and even learn to surf if you like.

Honeymooning at AmaTierra Wellness Hotel amid gorgeous mountain scenery 1.) They had a great guy pick us up from the air port so we didn't have to worry about the chaotic San Jose scene

2.) Jill and Bob greeted us with a warm welcome that set the tone right off the bat.

3.) I was on my honeymoon at AmaTierra but I also had a test to study for the day I got back for medical school. AmaTierra was so relaxing that even the occasional study session on the porch with an INCREDIBLE view felt like vacation....and I did great on my exam! There's something in the air up there.

4.) I usually get traveler's diarrhea when traveling...but I drank the water there and ate like a king and had no problem whatsoever

5.) The food was sooooo good and soooo healthy!

6.) We wanted to avoid the big chain hotels that would feel like any old American resort. AmaTierra was a perfect blend of two things: a down-to-earth yoga/wellness retreat and a luxurious comfortable getaway resort.

7.) We didn't want to spend too much time in a car on our honeymoon given how crazy the roads can be in Costa Rica. AmaTierra was a short beautiful drive from San Jose airport and it was less than an hour to go from AmaTierra to some great adventures like a waterfall and Turubari Park (where you can do the zip line, canopy tour, and butterfly viewing.

8.) Bob and Jill were such great hosts. Jill would be in the kitchen making an incredible meal and Bob was so great about asking, "Can I get you anything?" They looked after our every need.

9.) AmaTierra attracts a certain kind of guest and it's a great opportunity to meet some incredible travelers from all over the world. For me, this is what traveling is all about!

10.) I'm a musician and we had so much fun playing music at night....our week at AmaTierra was the honeymoon of my dreams.

Ama Tierra gave my husband and I the perfect Honeymoon. The Triple H (Happy Healthy Honeymoon) package gave us the opportunity to view different parts of the country from Arenal Volcano down to Manuel Antonio National Park. During our stay at AmaTierra, we got the opportunity to go to Turubarii park where we did the Zip Line canopy tour.

Our stay at AmaTierra was truly relaxing. Everyone was so friendly. They really created a feel at home environment. Jill and Bob were amazing hosts. Jill even made sure that our vegan dietary needs would be met. The food was impeccable and the company fantastic. I recommend AmaTierra to everyone, whether it be for your honeymoon, exploring the beautiful country, or just relaxing.

We spent two of our ten nights of our honeymoon at Ama Tierra and it was our favorite of the four hotels. Jill and Bob, the owners are interesting and compassionate people.

The hotel is eco-friendly and seeks to be more Green in any way possible. Each night we dinned together as a traveling community hosted by Jill and Bob, on tasty and very local food (mahimahi caught the same day in Jaco).

By candle light we ate and drank and got to know strangers from all over the world. At night we fell asleep to the sound of Jill's beautiful voice singing in the main building. Ama Tierra is the perfect place to get away and relax, since there isn't much to do with the exception of Turubari park (which is also a must-do)! If ever I was to host a retreat or a small conference I would do it at Ama Tierra. I just can't say enough about it!
