A founding member of the American Herbalist Guild, Candis has studied with herbalist, Dr. Michael Tierra and with Dr. Vasant Lad of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, NM.
Candis is owner and director of EverGreen Herb Garden and School of Integrative Herbology and has extensive organic botanical gardens where over 250 herbs are on display. The gardens were one of ten featured in the book "The Herbalist's Garden" by Shatoya and Richard de la Tour. Candis is the author of Pocket Guide to Ayurvedic Healing (Crossing Press), and the artist of The Herbal Tarot and co-author of its companion book The Spirit of Herbs.

Jill Ruttenberg is a registered herbalist (AHG) who specializes in Chinese and western herbal medicine, a certified massage therapist for over 20 years and the co-owner and wellness director at AmaTierra Retreat & Wellness Center in Turrubares, Costa Rica. Formerly of Tucson, Arizona, Jill is a colleague of Dr. Andrew Weil and participated in weekly patient conferences at the program in Integrative Medicine, University of Arizona Medical Center.

Jill has also studied with some of the best herbalists and OMD's in the world, including Dr. Michael Tierra and Dr. Joel Penner. Jill is also a Hatha Yoga instructor, mother of two daughters, and writer of articles for U.S. alternative health publications such as Natural Health Magazine and Vegetarian Times.
