Catch a glimpse of traditional life in the Costa Rican countryside. Encounter cowboys herding their cattle along the roadside. Hike on our trails, watch or join a pick-up match of ‘futbol’ in the town square. Enjoy local festivals held twice a year where you can sample ‘typical’ food and watch the ‘caballos trotadores’ (Spanish-style dancing horses) or bull-riding events in the ring. Tour a local organic coffee farm, ride horseback through the countryside, watch the one-truck produce market in action on a Saturday morning, and see how tobacco is cured at a local cigar factory.
Some nights heat up on the AmaTierra balcony with the traditional guitar and voice ensemble, Trio Puriscaleño, followed by salsa dancing lessons by one of San Pablo’s spiciest dancing couples. Great for groups!
