Womb, Karma & Transcendence: A Deep Meditation Week
Join meditation expert Linda Hochstetler in this transformational 7-day retreat to learn ways to transcend limiting beliefs and patterns that might be keeping you stuck. This Awakening Retreat offers you the precious opportunity to reacquaint yourself with the experiences of your life, gain freedom from conditioning received even as far back as being in your mother’s womb, and clear lifetimes of karma. Effects from womb patterns spread to our overall physical and mental health, our sexuality, and our views and beliefs, on everything from how safe the world feels to us, whether self or others can be trusted, and where our purpose and meaning are sought in life. Linda’s gentle, yet powerful practices are open to anyone, regardless of gender or child-birth experience, (mothers can benefit in even more ways from this method) as all of us have our own birth to process and release. You will be led through meditation practices and body exercises which allow the experience to become what it was meant to be: the basis for well-being, natural growth and exploration.
The experience you can expect builds on the ground-breaking work of Namgyal Rinpoche, and will follow the teachings in his book – Womb, Karma, & Transcendence. You are encouraged to purchase and familiarize yourself with this book in advance. The book can be purchased through Bodhi Publishing.
Delivered by Linda Hochstetler, this retreat includes daily meditation practices and body exercises, a trip to a local water fall, three group yoga classes, and an excursion to Carara National Rainforest Park and Jaco Beach. The retreat will contain some periods of time of silence.
The all-inclusive rates include single or double accommodations in a comfortable hotel setting, organic foods, and all amenities/tours and transportation, as well as pick up and drop off from the San Jose airport on both Saturdays, and Dana contributions to the teacher.
Linda is a Buddhist Lay Chaplain as well as a registered social worker, and has been teaching Mindfulness and Buddhist meditation to students for more than 25 years. She is the co-founder and leader of the Awaken in Toronto Vajrayana Buddhist Sangha (AIT), and leads meditation classes, discussions, and retreats that are open to beginners and advanced students alike.
