New Year’s Detox at AmaTierra

Are you ready to change up your diet and perhaps lose a few pounds after all the holiday fun? Bring in the new year with a full-body cleanse, featuring our signature gentle Detox Program. Your 5 Night program begins on January 4th, 2025.

This program includes lodging in single or double (bring a friend!)comfy, private rooms, organic foods and juices, detox teas and supplements, and best of all: individual attention from AmaTierra’s in-house registered herbalist/nutritionist, Jill Ruttenberg.

Practice yoga and meditation daily, learn how to eat healthier, get in touch with your emotional body via self-abdominal massage, enjoy like-minded souls for support and camaraderie, and adapt fresh, new practices to relieve stress.

AmaTierra’s quiet rainforest environment offers the ideal setting for rejuvenation and restoration. The sounds of nature instill the ambiance around you with a calm serenity to disentangle any stress in your mind, allowing you to cleanse your entire being.

What to expect: Generally, during the detox week, you will be eating fresh fruits and vegetables and supporting your body with herbal teas and supplements which cleanse the whole body: digestive tract, liver, kidneys, skin, and blood. You will be guided by a professional herbalist/nutritionist who will set the program based on your individual body and needs.

Dining outdoors on our balcony, you will likely be eating fruits and plant-based protein smoothies for breakfast that have plenty of fiber (flax, psyllium husk and chia seeds, and fresh greens) and ginger, tumeric and lemon grown right here on our farm. Since your detox is a collaboration between you and our nutritionist/herbalist, it may include a day or two of just liquids, but lunch and dinner usually consists of vegetable-based soups, steamed veggies, and salads. A 4 pm snack might be a handful of nuts, some raw vegetables, coconut water, or juice.

Included in your stay is a one-hour full-body massage, unlimited use of the Gemstone Mat, and a trip to a local waterfall.

The herbalist combines a variety of herbs, some grown at AmaTierra, into a tea that you drink a few times per day. There is a lot of individual attention given to ensure that each guest has the experience and outcome that is best for YOUR body.
